Project Manager – Bridge Engineering

Position Overview:
As a Project Manager in the Structures/Bridge Group, you will be responsible for leading and managing various bridge and structure design projects. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and local officials to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage structural engineering projects, including defining scope, creating budgets, directing design work, and coordinating efforts with other team members.
• Analyze and design transportation-related structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and sign structure foundations.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and local authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Sign and seal work as required.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and documentation.
• Collaborate with the CDI Service Leader, Project Engineers, and other team members to develop solutions to meet project needs.
• Ensure projects adhere to safety procedures and quality control measures.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (preferred but not required).
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• At least 10 years of bridge design experience.
• Strong proficiency in MicroStation and ORD platforms.
• Experience managing projects for DOT/KYTC clients.
• Expertise in structural analysis and design software.
• In-depth knowledge of bridge construction materials (Steel, Cast-in-Place Concrete, Precast Prestressed Concrete), construction methods, and structural inspections.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,000–$150,000 per year, with compensation adjusted based on relevant experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
