We are actively hiring a Project Manager with deep experience in structured cabling and a proven track record in managing data center projects.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a highly organized and field-savvy Project Manager to lead structured cabling installations in data centers. This role involves managing labor teams, coordinating with general contractors, handling materials and timelines, and ensuring all work meets industry and safety standards. Travel will be required to various job sites across Texas and potentially beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Manage structured cabling projects end-to-end: from planning and kickoff to completion and closeout.
Lead on-site installation teams, supervise subcontractors, and ensure project milestones are hit.
Interpret blueprints, construction documents, and SOWs related to copper, fiber, and pathway systems.
Coordinate logistics, materials, and project timelines with suppliers and internal staff.
Conduct job site walkthroughs and meetings with GCs and client stakeholders.
Maintain detailed project documentation including reports, RFIs, change orders, and schedules.
Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA and customer standards.
Identify project risks and develop solutions to keep jobs on track.
Requirements
3+ years of structured cabling project management experience (data center work highly preferred).
Solid understanding of copper, fiber optic cabling, pathways, containment, and BICSI practices.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and jobs.
Proficient in job tracking software (e.g., Excel, Procore, or other PM tools).
Comfortable traveling to active job sites across Texas (and occasionally outside the state).
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
PMP or BICSI credentials are a strong plus.
