Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our Small Motors Department. This role involves precision machining and fabrication of smaller-scale motor components using strictly manual equipment—no CNC machinery. The ideal candidate must have experience operating manual lathes, mills, and machining tools to achieve close tolerances and precise measurements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual machining operations on smaller-scale motor components.
- Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining tools to fabricate and repair motor parts.
- Work with precision measurements and tight tolerances to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Maintain and troubleshoot manual machining equipment as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
- Collaborate with the Small Motors Foreman and Small Motors Manager to meet department goals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience with manual lathes and fabrication is required—no CNC experience needed.
- Strong ability to work with measurements and close tolerances.
- Must be fully trained and able to work independently—no manpower available for full training.
- Some learning curve is expected, but prior machining experience is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
