Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in commercial HVAC and plumbing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience, a proven track record in MEP roles, and the ability to lead complex commercial construction projects ranging from $25 million to $100 million. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of commercial HVAC and plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for projects valued between $25 million and $100 million.

  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.

  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.

  • Manage procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.

  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration and maintaining a high-performance work environment.

  • Conduct regular project meetings to review progress, address challenges, and ensure open communication with all stakeholders.

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Prepare and present project reports to senior leadership and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior MEP role focused on commercial HVAC and plumbing projects.

  • Project Scope: Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale commercial construction projects valued between $25 million and $100 million.

  • Industry Focus: Extensive experience in a variety of commercial construction projects, including but not limited to:

    • Hospitals (ground-up and renovation)

    • Healthcare facilities

    • Zoos

    • Office buildings

    • Banks

    • Upgrades to high-profile facilities like the Spectrum Center

  • Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Technical Knowledge: Proficient in HVAC and plumbing systems; electrical experience is not a primary requirement.

  • Construction Experience: No residential, multi-family, or home construction experience—strictly commercial.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred but not required with equivalent experience.

  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software and tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
